Rhodri once again takes traffic concerns to Local Authority
Plaid Cymru AM for Carmarthen East & Dinefwr Rhodri Glyn Thomas has once again sought resolutions for ongoing traffic concerns in the constituency. Mr. Thomas has contacted the local authority’s Transport Department raising concerns that motorists have difficulty seeing traffic approaching on New Road (A4068) as they exit Dolawel in Ystradowen.
A member of Carmarthenshire County Council’s Traffic Management section has agreed to meet with residents to discuss these concerns following Mr. Thomas’s request for the local authority to assess motorist’s concerns and to look at a Priority Give Way system.
Rhodri Glyn Thomas AM said:
“I am encouraged that the local authority is willing to assess the feasibility of providing a priority give way system at Dolawel following my representations on poor visibility and vehicle speeds.
“I appreciate the authority must prioritise it’s spending according to the probability of accidents, but I am confident the authority will agree that measures need to be taken at this location to make the road safer”.
