Workers need assurances - Plaid
Adam price MP has issued a statement backing Corus workers in his constituency. There has been a lot of anxiety after 650 employees in Llanelli were told not to come in during the first two weeks of April because of a slowdown in orders.
Mr Price said:
"Clearly this announcement will leave many people feeling fearful of their job security. I have had confirmation from the Secretary of State for Wales that the issue is being monitored and Corus have given assurances that this issue will not affect any other Corus plants in South Wales, including the site in Llandybie."
Mr Price added:
"It is important that every effort is made to ensure workers are put at ease during the take over period."
