Tan 15 Maps Causing Development Issues
Rhodri Glyn Thomas AM has questioned the First Minister over problems arising with the implementation of TAN 15. The Plaid Assembly Member has seen numerous developments in his constituency rejected based on TAN 15 rulings.
Mr Thomas said:
"I questioned the First Minister over this very important issue that has held up a number of developments in Carmarthenshire."
Mr Thomas added:
"There are clear discrepancies to be found in the mapping systems of TAN 15. The Welsh Assembly Government has introduced TAN 15 without the necessary consultation to ensure that there is a clear consensus between the maps being used and the actual risk of flooding. It is important that there are up to date facts available to ensure that potential developments are not restricted as a result of out of date information."
