Plaid AM calls for customers to be first consideration of refunds

Plaid's Assembly Member in Carmarthenshire has called for any money coming back from the central fund, made up from donations and MP's including Adam Price investing a day's pay, to be given to Farepak customers first. Rhodri Glyn Thomas AM says that any reimbursements should be handed to customers first and not banks or outside companies.

Mr Thomas said:

"Any banks and companies who are associated with Farepak have seen a business programme and project and have financed the company accordingly. My constituents, and the many others that have lost out as a result of Farepak being taken into administration, have not seen any business proposals."

Mr Thomas added:

"Consumers who have invested into Farepak have done so on the understanding that they will receive hampers in return. Any money that is returned should first go to the consumers that have lost out, and then to any third part investors who financed Farepak with a business module in mind."
