Lottery Funding Welcomed By AM

Rhodri Glyn Thomas AM was delighted to open the Joint Lottery Fund Teach-in at the Mountain Gate Hotel in Ammanford. The event designed to raise awareness of lottery funding was a big success and was attended by a number of local businesses and movements.

Mr Thomas said:

"There was a great turnout and I think everyone was delighted with the attendance. There were a number of excellent speakers from the Sports Council Wales, Arts Council of Wales, The Big Lottery fund and the Heritage Lottery Fun. There was also a very successful question and answer session that I was very glad to be able to contribute to."

Mr Thomas added:

"I think it was very insightful for people to see exactly what impact lottery money can have on the area. I hope many of the people who attended the event will be able to secure funding in the future. Lottery money has helped many people in the constituency and events such as this help to raise awareness of how it can help, and how it can be secured."
