VISA Farepak customers could get refund
People who have lost money as a result of the liquidation of Christmas hamper company Farepak may have a way to get their money back. As a result of the VISA charge back scheme anyone who has paid into the scheme via VISA Credit or Debit cards may be able to receive a reimbursement for the loss.
Rhodri Glyn Thomas AM said:
"It is important that any person who has used a VISA credit or debit card to pay for their items contacts their bank. They will need to inform the bank of a list of transactions that were made to start the charge back procedure to try and redeem their losses. I will be writing to all the constituents who have contacted us in this matter to advise them of this scheme."
Adam Price MP added:
"Under the VISA rules anyone who has lost money could be entitled to a refund for the money they have lost after Farpak went into administration. I would urge anyone who qualifies for the charge back scheme to contact their banks."
