Success Story Praised in Constituency

Plaid Cymru's elected member for Carmarthen East and Dinefwr has praised the success of a local business. Rhodri Glyn Thomas AM has spoken of his delight at the thriving fruit and vegetable preparation and processing company Crewmint after they secured £1 million in contracts and have created 14 new jobs at their Ammanford plant.

Mr Thomas said:

"Crewmint are a fantastic advertisement for a successful business in the area. Crewmint have invested a lot into new technologies and are a market leader in producing five a day fruit and vegetable packs. It's great to see such an enthusiastic and successful business in Carmarthenshire."

Crewmint Managing Director Roger Young added:

"A lot of the market research leading to the launch of the new range of Healthy Eating Packs was completed within the local area. An invitation 2 years ago from Carmarthenshire Local Authority to attend the launch of the then new autumn school menu for Carmarthenshire was the catalyst to taking what was then a floated idea forward to where we are today. Demand for the products has been overwhelming and plans are being made for further expansion."
