Carmarthen Youngsters to follow in Imogene and Glyn's footsteps

Local Plaid AM, Rhodri Glyn Thomas, has visited the Streets Youth Project for the launch of their ICU2 project. The Big Brother style project has given the opportunity to young people from all over Carmarthenshire to audition with 12 people being chosen to participate in the week long event.

Mr Thomas said:

"It was a fascinating visit and I was very impressed with the project. It's clear that the children had a real energy and were benefiting from the Streets Youth Project. This Big brother style event will allow the 12 people chosen the opportunity to take part in tasks with the project being broadcast across the internet."

Mr Thomas added:

"The Streets youth project allows young people between 11 - 25 the opportunity to interact with one another and to build strong social skills. I think it's a very important facility for the county and one that enabled the development of strong assertive individuals."
