Plaid Cymru AM backs National Physiotherapy Week 2006
Carmarthen East and Dinefwr's National Assembly for Wales Member has backed the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy's, National Physiotherapy Week. Rhodri Glyn Thomas has voiced his support for the awareness week which takes place between June 19th and June 23rd.
Mr Thomas said:
"The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy provides and excellent service in raising awareness of the benefits of physiotherapy. This week of activities is aiming to raise awareness of the idea that prevention is better than a cure. I will be fully supporting the CSP Wales in their campaign and wish them the best of luck with the event."
CSP Policy Officer for Wales Philippa Ford added:
"Physiotherapists will be using the week to create opportunities to 'showcase' what they do and provide advice and information to people on how to avoid injuring themselves. Whilst the profession is keen that people take more exercise we know first hand how easy it is for injuries to occur. Once you have an injury it can affect all aspects of your life. Take care of yourself!"
