Plaid AM continues to fight for local village
Plaid Cymru's Assembly Member for Carmarthen East and Dinefwr has once again highlighted the inequality faced by the people of Drefelin. Questioning the First Minister, Rhodri Glyn Thomas, raised the concerns of the village that whilst most of Wales is anticipating the digital switchover the people of Drefelin are still without analogue service.
Mr Thomas said:
"The people of Drefelin have a right to question their First Minister regarding the lack of attention their situation is receiving. I have questioned the First Minister regarding this issue and have requested to know what discussions he has had with the broadcasting authorities to bring about a resolution to this matter."
Mr Thomas added:
"The people of Drefelin are missing out on a crucial service. Whilst Wales prepares for the digital switchover this village is forgotten. It is essentially an unfair situation. The residents of Drefelin are being held at ransom paying for a TV license which they can not use."
