Assembly Member welcomes BT's language stance
Local AM Rhodri Glyn Thomas has welcomed moves by BT to provide a bilingual service to its customers. Mr Thomas has greeted the decision that will give Welsh language speakers the opportunity to order their BT services through their chosen language.
Mr Thomas said:
"There are a high number of Welsh speakers in my constituency and so it is good to see BT respecting their wishes and providing a Welsh language service. In order to promote the Welsh language it is essential that large companies such as BT take a positive stance in promoting its use."
Mr Thomas added:
"My constituency is largely bilingual and so I welcome this proposal by BT in providing an option for its customers as to what language they wish to communicate in."
