Plaid AM questions lack of funding for new roads

Carmarthen East and Dinefwr Assembly Member Rhodri Glyn Thomas AM has questioned the Minister for Economic Development and Transport regarding the lack of funding for the Ammanford distributor road and the Gwendraeth Valley link road. Mr Thomas said,

"I have questioned the Minister for Economic Development and Transport regarding the reasons the Welsh Assembly has not invited applications for new transport grant bids. I have also raised the issue of when these grants will become available."

Mr Thomas added,

"I am very disappointed that these roads have been delayed because of a lack of funding. These roads are essential to reduce congestion and to allow easy and convenient access to our shopping areas. Without the development of these roads how can we expect to attract new jobs."
